Tableau D’Hôte understands the issues revolving cultural sovereignty in art in Canada . Thus, we produce only work written by both published and non-published Canadian writers. Tableau D’Hôte also mounts productions with a focus on the essentials of a solid performance piece: story, text, and character.

Our participation in the theatre scene is lucrative to the development of English theatre as a whole in Quebec . It is imperative for Tableau D’Hôte to recognize the various artistic capabilities by Canadians by giving opportunity for artists of diverse ethnicities and backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles, and above all approaches to create theatre for the public.

We want new and imaginative artists including (but not limited to) writers, designers, directors, and actors to be given the opportunity to showcase their work in front of expecting and appreciative audiences all around Montreal; and with that, the platform in which they can workshop their own work for future use in the theatre.
