Jo Joffre

Jo Joffre was introduced to the theatre world at the ripe age of 12. In the very first play that she auditioned for, she was cast as the lead role, so Jo's career on stage began bang and huge boost of confidence. She portrayed Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at her summer camp, and it was a wonderful first experience! The following school year, while attending Royal West, she was introduced to the amazing world of Shakespeare, and fell in love. Jo adored the language; it came naturally to her, and was cast in various roles over her high school years, such as Ursula in Much Ado about Nothing, and one of the infamous witches in Macbeth. All these diverse experiences in theatre really got a fire burning in her belly.

Jo was never the loud, outspoken type, and she really owes her abandonment of introverted life style to theatre and all the casts and crews that made all of her plays possible. There were the plays at camp, the plays in high school, but Jo will be forever indebted to Michael Payette for casting her in three life altering shows which really opened her eyes to a more professional level of theatre. Jo is now 21 but the acting bug in her still runs wild, and always will. She lives for the thrill of performing, the ups and downs of rehearsals, and the strength of the bonds formed with cast mates. Jo is a girl addicted to theatre, but she refuses to go to rehab, because it's the best addiction in the world.
